Captured

Thanks to Femikey for passing this captured photo tag. I don't have black and white but I have this sepia photo. This is all I got right now.

} Start Copy

" A good Snapshot stops a moment from running away."

When you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls! ~Ted Grant}

End of Copy

With me in the picture is Josh, hubby's 14 year old grandson. This was taken in their house last January when my hubby and I spent 2 nights with them before going here in the Philippines. When I just got there in the US more than 5 years ago, he was only 9 years old and shorter than me. Look at him now, he's taller than his lola. How time flies! I cherish this photo because it would be a while before I will see Josh again. Maybe he would be way taller than me next time I see him.

Now, Here is the rule in doing the Tag:

Copy the quotes above from start copy to end Copy. Replace the Photograph with your own or your loves ones' Black and White captured moments that you want to cherish for the rest of your life.

I would like to pass this tag to Richelle, Chuchie and Rose.

Lady In Red

I love taking pictures but I also love my pictures taken. In fact I got lots of pictures already and a lot more to be printed. The photos below were taken a year ago in our house in Wichita Falls, TX after hubby and I got home from church, I asked him to take my pictures before I changed my clothes. He obliged and I enjoyed posing in front of the camera. I was having fun while hubby kept on clicking the camera. After the picture taking, I uploaded the photos in my laptop and did a couple of scrap book works. Aside from blogging and photography, making scrap book is also one of my interests. It brings out the creativity in me. Here’s a couple of my works.

The Beauty Of San Antonio

It's been two years now since my hubby and I went to San Antonio together with our friends, the late Bro. Jesse and his wife Ms. Sue Garner. It was my first time to go to San Antonio, the second largest city in Texas, next to Houston. My hubby got a week vacation with pay so we decided to go. There were lots of people there because it was spring break. The weather was great, it was in the 60’s and 70’s. This city is a tourist spot and we had to pay just to park the car at the parking lot and then we took a walk and we went around the tourist attractions. The parking fee near the Alamo is from $10 to $12 so we had to look for a cheaper parking area and we found one that charged only $5 but it’s a little bit farther. We went first to see The Alamo and the line was too long. I remember Bro. Jesse wanted to fall in line and go inside but my hubby didn't want to wait that long so we just took photos in front of the building. At the back there was a nice garden with flowers blooming.

Then we went to eat in a steak house and after eating we went to see the Riverwalk. The view there is really spectacular and we rode the boat. We had a great time looking at those tall and great architectural designs of the buildings around the Riverwalk. The boat’s driver was the tour guide and he gave us all the information about those buildings. After the ride we took some photos and went back to our hotel. Then at night we went back to The Alamo and The Riverwalk again and to our surprise, there were more people in The Riverwalk at night. That place was so crowded and all the restaurants by the Riverwalk were all jam packed. We ended up eating in a Mexican restaurant by the Riverwalk and foods there were so pricey.

The next day we drove around downtown San Antonio and we went to see the Hemisfair Park and the Historical Parks. Tower of the Americas was under renovation that time. Then we went to the Market Square and had a great time looking around those Mexican stuffs on display in the stores. Mostly, they sell items from Mexico. That place reminded me of the market place in Baguio City and downtown San Antonio reminded me of Intramuros, Manila. I’ve seen tourists riding carriages pulled by horses and went around downtown during daytime and night time. San Antonio has its scenic beauty, no wonder a lot of people go there. I really enjoyed that trip and we had a good time. Here are some of the photos.
