Our visit to the National Memorial Museum in Oklahoma City 3 years ago is so memorable. That place used to be the site where the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building stood but the terrorists bombed it on April 19, 1995 and 168 people lost their lives due to that bombing. The sad thing is, the terrorists who did the bombing were Americans and not from other Arab countries like who did the bombing in NY. I learned that the master mind used to be a US army. Good thing they caught him and he was sentenced to death. The rest of the accomplice were put to jail. After walking a little bit in the memorial park, my hubby and I went inside the museum and bought a ticket. Entrance fee was $10 each. I'm not really very fond of going to a museum but this one was so educational. The Memorial and Museum are dedicated to educating visitors about the impact of violence, informing about events surrounding the bombing, and inspiring hope and healing through lessons learned by those affected.

The museum occupies three floors and we went to see all those exhibits in all those floors. A lot of visitors were there too and there were some journalists from Florida. I've seen the photos and videos of the bombing and also the photos of those people who lost their lives. It was so tragic and I even had chills while seeing those memorabilia of the said incident. This world is really full of chaos and bad people. I've seen the photo of the bomber and he was only 29 years old when he did that terror. What a waste of life and soul! He must be in hell paying now and will suffer torture there forever.

Hubby and I have good memories when we went on vacation in Oklahoma City three years ago. We got to see the different tourist attractions in the city. The first thing we went to see in OKC was the Bricktown Canal. This is a copycat of the River Walk in San Antonio. Although there's not as much to see as in the River Walk because it was just constructed a few years ago, I enjoyed the scenery there and besides, it's not as crowded as the River Walk. Well, our visit to Bricktown Canal is not complete if we won't ride the Water Taxi so hubby purchased tickets for both of us. It was a bit pricey for a short ride, $7.50 each but we were on vacation so we might as well enjoy and splurge. The tour guide took us around Bricktown Canal and gave us some bird's eye view of the things and places we passed by. I kept clicking my digicam and also I took some videos. Take a look.

I miss our house in Wichita Falls. Hubby and I lived in that house for 4 years and there were many memories of ours in that house. When we bought that house, it needed a lot of TLC and so hubby and I worked hard to renovate and improve that house. Hubby had replaced the back porch and door and he put railings at the front porch because it has no railings when we bought it and he put a new fascia board in the front porch. He also replaced the glass windows and window jambs. Lastly, he repainted it because the old paint according to hubby looked like a puke. Then I called the insurance company and reported that the roof leaks and needed a replacement. Their insurance agent came and checked the roof, took photos and when it got approved, they came and put a new roof.

We sold that house in late 2008 because we have to move to the Philippines and to start a ministry for the Lord. My last day in that house made me teary-eyed. All the memories that we had there I will just cherish in my heart and in my mind. On the other hand, we were also glad because we finally sold it after almost two years in the market. I just learned from a friend that the house now was fully renovated by the new owner and it looked so pretty, a lot different from what it was. Now, I can't wait to see it when we go back there next year. Here are some photos taken in that house...

My first time to dine at Texas Roadhouse was 3 years ago with hubby. It was just a few minutes drive from our house. Hubby and I have eaten in almost all the restaurants in our city but we haven't tried that place yet. Hubby thought their foods might be pricey but I said who cares as long as it taste good. Hubby promised me that we will go there before we moved out of the city.

So on our last Sunday in that city after our worship service, hubby took me to that restaurant as he promised. We even took pictures outside before we went in. It was so cold that morning of December.




When we were inside while waiting on the foods that we ordered, we took some photos again. Hubby don't like taking photos but this time he was cooperative, lol! I took his photo first then he took mine.

Then finally, our foods were served and we were so eager to take our first bite. But of course, hubby have to say the blessing first before we eat. So before we started ravishing the foods, I took photos first the foods in my plate. I ordered chicken barbecue with veggies and rice and green beans on the side. Yummy!

Our foods were so good. I gave a thumbs up to Texas Roadhouse. Hubby and I were so much satisfied.

I love taking pictures infront of the welcome signs of the states that we visited. I got this idea from my friend Sofia. I think this is a good idea to take souvenir shots of the states that we've been to. That's the reason that I prefer to travel by car rather than by airplane because I get to see other states that we passed by. I just got here in the US when we drove to Iowa and we passed by a few states like Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. We didn't stop to take photos in the welcome signs. I didn't have this idea yet of taking photos in front of the welcome signs. But it's good we took the photos of the welcome signs of the states we passed by when we went to Colorado last summer. Also I had my photo taken at the welcome sign when we went to Oklahoma. I love sight-seeing and taking pictures. I enjoy looking at the wonderful creations of our Lord. It's awesome! Makes me love Him more and more.

Hubby and I have been talking during lunch about our vacation in one of the beach resorts in the Philippines eight years ago. We attended a wedding in a beach resort in La Union  Hubby and I had planned earlier that we gonna spend three days there in that beach resort so we packed our bags and off we went. The wedding went well and was well attended. Lots of foods were served at the reception. Then after the wedding hubby and I went to our cottage that was reserved for us. It was a very nice and cozy cottage overlooking the beach and the sea breeze and sound of the waves were so relaxing. We even met a German guy next door who was also on vacation there.

It's been a while since hubby and I went on vacation in a beach resort. The last one we had was during our anniversary in 2003 just two weeks before we flew to the US. Our anniversary is fast approaching again and we want to it to be memorable. It would be nice if we can afford to go overseas and stay in one of the Costa Rica Villas in the world class Los Sueños Resort & Marina. I'm pretty sure it would be fun and we will enjoy to the max seeing the place and take lots of pictures for my facebook. But checking on our bank account, this is not possible for now due to financial problem. Maybe we can go there next year when we have enough savings.

These are old photos of me and my hubby when we went to California almost 8 years ago. We had such a good time visiting my college friends there. We stayed in Stockton at the house of my best friend in college. We stayed there for 17 days. My friend and her hubby took us to the beautiful spots in California like the Golden Gate in San Francisco, Universal Studios in Hollywood, and Lake Tahoe. We also visited one of our college friends in San Diego who is now in the navy and he took us to Sea World. All the entrance fees were taken care of by my friends. So we saved money and we really had a good time there. My friend wanted to take us to Tijuana, Mexico because it's just beyond the border but I didn't have yet my green card that time so we didn't go. We just drove by and he showed us the border and across it is Tijuana. We had a grand time touring California from north to south.

I love gardening ever since I was a kid and until now I still do. When hubby and I were in Texas, I planted flowers in our front yard and veggies at the back yard. That's what kept me busy when I was not working so I won't get bored. Now that I'm here in my homeland,  I really miss my vegetable garden back in Texas. As much as I want to have a vegetable garden here, our lot is so limited. Can hardly plant anything except some plants and flowers.

This time of year a few years ago, my veggies were ready to be harvested. I planted string beans, tomatoes, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, okra, squash, sweet potatoes, collard greens, green beans, jute, lettuce, cantaloupe, cucumbers and a lot more. I harvested a lot of my veggies and I blanched it and put some of it in our freezer for winter. The rest I shared to my Filipino friends and some church members. All my veggies were organic. I didn't use any pesticide or herbicide and no fertilizer. I just water them often. Organic vegetables are so expensive in the grocery store so it's best to have your own garden.
